High Idle Function ECM Change

New to the dodge world, just bought a 2005 5.9, i was wondering what is considered high RPM’S cruising 70 mph. It sounds like the truck wants to shift into a higher gear.

Your fuel efficiency drops rapidly above 2k but it won’t hurt anything. With 4.10s and stock tires they do start getting louder as the mph goes over 65.

Yeah depends on the axle ratio.

In general, you want to be above 1800rpm to get full boost, everything below it will downshift to soon.
2500 I would consider to high for cruise.

Me personally with 4.10 stock tire size, 48re od lock out so 3rd gear @ 1900-2000k 40-45 mph. Highway 65 is about 1850-1950 I think depending on hills/load in 4th. 2150 ish I think for 70 mph.
