Well, after doing more diagnosing I have found that the problem is related to boost. If there is no boost then it isn't happening. The factory Boost sensor plugs pins do look a little mangled. I wonder if I could by the famale plug and replace it or if it comes with the wiring harness only.

IF it's the same type plug used to connect to the lift pump, a pair of skinny pins on the sensor that plug into a connector with 2 equally small holes for the pins to pass thru for connection inside the plug, Cummins offers a short LP extension plug for about $8 that you could buy and splice in for a replacement - I don't have the Cummins part # in front of me, but can post it if it is that same type connector...

Out of curiosity, do any of you guys have one pin in the MAP plug that is corroded green? I too am experiencing this hesitation problem. Last fall when I went to re grease my plugs I found one pin in the MAP plug green. I know of one other member who had the same pin green also, and both plugs were greased before this became visible.

Keith, you don't say whether it's setting codes or not and have you tried taking your powermax box out of the system?

No it hasn't set any codes according to the dealer. Certainly no CE light. Yes, I have tried completely removing the box and connecting the factory Boost plug into the sensor and it still acts just the same. So it is definitely either factory plug or wireing going into it.
