I'm really happy with the '06. There have been a few "updates" since "92. :D

Looks good just not as good as the one you sold, but hey, i'm just a little biased. Are you gonna start right away or let the warranty play out?

Hey nice ride Mike..... we know you're a gen 1 guy at heart... .

We'll have to issue special dispensation so you can keep your chair, mug and coat rack in here..... don't be a stranger... hey, how bout a couple Gen 1 secrets... . ;):D

pb...

I'd love to have one too. I wonder if I could spec one w/OUT the new engine and install the faithful 12 valve.

Mike,

You REALLY need to dismantle that engine like Joe did.

Nice truck!:) I'll be in the same boat in the not too distant future... need more room, and want 4X4, so the 1st Gen will be going. :(

Very nice looking truck! You will find many things about the newer trucks that take no time to get used to! I miss my 2003 sometimes, but that is just one of life's bumps in the road. It was great while we had it!

Great looking truck I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that bought the standard cab instead of the QC. My dealer won't stock the SC so I had to order it.

We have a standard cab white dually 4x4 running around town. That is one mean looking truck! It just looks like a horse, probably does not ride as good as one though! I would have to get used to it, :D because it is killer looking! Glen :D

Thanks guys. Dodge has sure made some changes in 14 years. :-laf This thing is great! The ride is just a little stiffer than the mega cab, but light years ahead of the '92. The handling is just like a car. I had to order it, but 6 weeks was worth the wait. When the new ('03) body style came out, I never really liked it. But with the redesign in '06, I didn't think they were so bad. I didn't like how quiet they were when the common rail first came out, but have grown to appreciate it. The seats are much more comfortable, and the 7 speaker radio with 6 disk changer, and satellite radio, is really nice. The G56 6-speed is much smoother than the older nv5600.

Old Smoky is now in the hands of some stranger as I traded it in on the new one. Before trading it in I took off the compounds and installed an HY35, and removed a bunch of other stuff. Some of my friends have seen it around the area smoking like a train (I left a set of honed out POD's in it :-laf ).

I'm going to leave this one pretty much stock. So far I have added mud flaps, fender liners, and rubber floor mats. Window tint and linex are on the way. The guys at the shop are giving me a hard time about not wanting to do injectors, box, turbo, fuel system, clutch, gauges, on and on. It's just nice stock. :D Besides, I always customers trucks to screw with. :D

Nice looking truck. I plan on getting a SC Dodge just like this this one soon. I will get the blue, but I love my standard cab, standard shift!!
