Got my new 2006 3500 4x4 mega cab today. Spent a bunch of time turning off: horn honks when locking, doors locking at 15mph, seat belt chiming, etc. Now my interior lights don't work unless you turn them on manually. Any ideas?

Update. The prep people at the dealer had rolled the dial on the light switch all the way down to off so no lights come on unless you push on the light. . Figured it out because my 2000 just went to a detail shop for the first wax in 4 years and they did the same thing. I had two trucks with no interoir lights when you open the door or use the remote entry. . Never realized you could roll he dimmer all the way to off. .

I know this is dumb; Is the dimmer switch all the way down? I'm not a 3rd gener but no one else is steppin to the plate. My 2nd genner will disable the interior lights if I do this. Mike

Dumb answer is right! I did not know you could turn them off. . after 6 years of driving my 2nd gen. . I never touch that dial.

All of the procedures were in my manual, just not correct except for the auto door lock at 15mph. If I recall, the seat belt chime was:

Get in truck with both keys in hand. Fasten seat belt. Turn ignition to run but do not start. Use the other FOB (key with transmitter) that is not in the ignition, press and hold the lock button, wait at least 4 and less than 10 seconds and press the unlock button (while still holding the lock). Book says you will hear a chime, I did not. I held both for about 20 seconds and that seemed to do it. Turn ignition off, unlatch seat belt, start up the truck and go for a drive. Seat belt light stays on but no more chime. Others have suggested latching the center seat belt buckle into the drivers latch or jumping a sire across the connector, etc. Note: There was an addendum card in the first truck I test drove but of course not in mine. It stated that the procedures had changed for a number of user programmable settings (horn honk when remote locking, etc) so I just started trying various ones. The horn honk I know was lock button, then press the panic, same procedure as above. Sad that I found nobody at the dealer that knew any of this.
