Trailer brake problems, controller flashes 'OL'

RV Living in IOWA

i have owned my truck for two years now. I bought it when i was 17. it took every last dollar i could scrape up to buy it and some people may think its a little beat up but its my baby! i just havent thought of a name for it yet. i was hopeing the good ole guys at the TDR could help. so what are some good names?

Dodgezilla was the name of my first 1990 W250 5spd (4:10's) because of its ability to easily move any load whether it was in the bed or on a 5th wheel trailer.

I have grossed just shy of 22k lbs on 2 occasions.

I once loaded materials (all PT) for a complete 12x14 deck including railings & concrete and drove it 40 miles with the headlights illuminating the tree tops on the way home.

The gearing and torque at idle enabled me to maneuver my loaded trailer into locations that would have smoked a gasser's transmission or clutch.

My son & daughter also learned to drive in this truck and it most likely saved my son's life when he hit a moose at 55~60 mph while driving back to school at night. The trooper estimated it weighted approx 800lbs & said he was lucky.

The damage to Dodgezilla was bumper that looked like a V plow and a couple lights that needed replacing. He continued on to school

My original Dodgezilla is gone but the Heart & transmission with original clutch & u-joints live on in another 1990 w250. Current mileage is over 300k & running strong.

I also hand calculated the fuel mileage over 200k & averaged approx 20 mpg.

Best vehicle that I have ever owned it never disappointed!

The 2004. 5~ "Joltin Josie" or just "Josie"

The 1999~ "Christine"

The longer you own and drive it, the more personality it will expose. I believe everyone should name their truck, build up a relationship with it. Take care care of it well and they'll take care of you.

My wife names all our vehicles:

Silvester prettytruck = Ram 3500

POJ = my Chevy work truck

Heidi = BMW family car

Beth = wifes daily driver MR2

Yoshi = kids daily driver MR2

She didn't get along with one of the cars (the Miata in this months Grassroots Motorsports) I was racing a couple years ago and named it "the wench"

My three daughters named our vehicles... The Dodge is called "Power", the Nissan Armada is "Speedy" and the old surburban we used to have was "Bessy" and of course the VW is Herbie according to the kids.

My '92 is the Green Monster, named by my buddies after the 1st time on the dyno, and the '97 is the FRT, Funny Round Truck. ;)

Sweetheart: :) Plain and simple. She pulls her heart out for me and never complains, never misses an RPM. Only problems she has given me were designed into her by the emission control engineers. Otherwise she is perfect... . my wife is jealous too. :-laf
