I got a call from Edge yesterday wanting to know if I had a 4. 10 so they could use it for beta testing.

This may sound stupid but when I bought the truck, I didn't know I had an option (or did I?).

I can't find anything on the truck or in my documentation.

How do I find out?

Look on the tag in the glove box. If tag is gone and your speedometer has not be adjusted for tire size in overdrive at 70 mph 3. 73's engine rpm will be between 2000-2100. 4. 10's around 2300 rpm.

Yup, that's what the Edge dude said. Problem is tag is AWOL and speedo's been re-calibrated. I suspect I'm 3. 73 cuz I've got no problem going fast!

Thanks

Steve

you can also tell by jacking up the whole rearend and turn the rear tires one turn and count how many times the driveshaft turns. driveshaft 3. 7 turns = 3. 73 gears, 4+ turns = 4. 10's also what size tires are you running and your rpms @ 60?

This is assuming you jack up both wheels and they both turn. If only one wheel, cut the numbers in half i. e. 1. 8 for 3. 73 and about 2 for 4. 10

BFG 315/R70/17 AT KO

I'd guess about 1700-1800 @60???

Shyans,

You can ask any dealer to print a build sheet; they can do this with the VIN number. It will list all options and codes that were included with your truck.

Hope this helps,

John

They want to borrow your truck for an afternoon... so they are calling us Utardians. Some kind of "issue" with the Juice and the 4. 10... . I am foggy about what the issue was so I won't try to repeat it. Don't want to start any false rumors.

I got the off-road package mainly just to get the 4:10's! Figured it's easier to have it already done than to change them out after I get it, cheaper too. Does pretty good with 37's, a little slow off the line, but still not bad when the turbo kicks in. Needs a box, exaust, and intake and I'd be happier though!
