What do I need for Tow Hooks?

What exactly do I need to purchase to install factory tow hooks? It is easy right?

I purchase my hook kit on Ebay, the price range is $70 to $110 plus shipping of around $20. Very heavy check the plates when you get them, I need to relocate and drill two holes, on vertial and one flat on each plate, you drill the flat in the truck frame but the other one must be drilled in the hook mount before installing.

Is your truck a SPORT or SLT? If it's a SPORT you'll probobly have to make your own brackets. The DC kit doesen't clear your facia, and you probobly don't want to cut that. If it's a SLT you can cut slots in your air dam without much trouble. There might be after market tow hooks that bolt right up and clear everything,but I don't know of any.

I saw a sport today,looked like the 1500 with the off road package and the 17" tires. I noticed that the front of the front fascia was moulded around the factory tow hooks. Looked really sharp. Are all the newer sports packages like this or only the ones with the off road package. Just curious as I was thinking of converting one of my trucks to that style.

Yea the moulded facia is great,it's only available with the off road package. Unfortunatly the off road package is only available in the 1500. You can buy the moulded facia from DC for... ... ... ... ... ... ..... $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll make my own brackets,thanks DC!!

I have a sport model no hooks tried to get a smittty brush bar dont make em for the sport.

I didn't have to drill any holes at all. They bolted right on. They also work great for pulling yourself back out from under the truck during service.

I like the front hitch I put on the front of mine. Bolt on and lot's cheaper. Works for me just fine. You may consider this if you haven't yet. Just an idea.
