Analog gauges or BD X-monitor?

I am gonna buy some gauges and am needing to know what i need for a complete install on the electric fuel pressure gauge?

I was looking at getting some autometer phantom series but it says the FP is not intened for use on the dodge diesels..... Can i still use it?

1. Gauge

2. Banjo bolt?(which one and where should i install at? after filter housing or on the line going into cp3?

3. ????

Also where is a good place i can get all the items in one shot thats cheap.....

Is the banjo bolt pretty much the same concept as the boost bolt? and is it simple to install like a boost bolt? TIA

I have the same fp gauge and it works great, mounted it on the steering column. I tapped in underneath the filter housing, use a little hydraulic sealant (Rectoseal) it will save you some hassles. Got mine from a dealer but you could easily find good deals online somewhere.

I was doing some reading on some other forums and was wondering if i get a electric fuel pressure gauge, you guys had mentioned something about the thumping that the injection pump does and it wrecks the gauge.....

And i have found in my reading the only way to fix it so the fuel pressure gauge doesn't bounce all over the place is to use a needle valve or a snubber(FP restrictor)... Just wondering if that sounds right?

FP restrictor(snubber) i guess is what its called is only $8. 00 from Summitt... ... Is this an option for me that might work... . Or am i reading a bunch of smoke blown up my colon...
