I ran the codes on my 01. 5 today.

I got-

PCU P0460 = Fuel level unit no change over miles.

PECU 1693 = DTC detected in ECM or PCM.

I run and Edge Comp Box w/o the wire tap.

TIA

I'd suppose the 460 code is telling you that it thinks there's a problem with the sender for the fuel gauge. It could be confused. Does your gauge work?

And the 1693 code seems to be normal with the Edge boxes. I've had this code with my EZ and also with my Comp. In fact, I start looking for problems when I don't have this code... . It just means that there was a communication glitch between the various computers on the truck.

After 30 or so power cycles the codes will go away, unless there really is a problem with your sender. As far as the 1693, forget about it.

Have you run the tank low recently? I got that code once, but it went away after a while. I think it was from squeezing along on the 4 gal. reserve after the gage and computer say that you don't have anything left.

I did run it very low the last time I filled up. I usually go beyond 0 miles to empty before filling up. Good thing I change the fuel filter often.
