Hey Bill, If you boys in El Campo are gonna put on a feed like that one again, let me know and I'll put on my travelin' man shoes and wander down your way!

It's a deal!

On special occasions.....

Filet mignon medium well, with either garlic mashed potatos, baked potato, or a sweet pototo or two. Nice Caesar salad to start it, with mommas special cheese muffins. :D

Oh yea, a Fosters beer or two!:D

What I usually eat is something like a veggie burger, rice pilaf, and a side of a veggie. :p

Eric

Carolina Honey sauce on Ribs from Tony Romas. zingers, a certain fruit salad, diet pepsi or diet coke, good potatos, chewy bacon.

ME loster isn't on my favorites list, but it's readily available:p

Food!!!

Linguine alle Vongole ( Pasta with white clam sauce) with some mussels thrown in, some fresh garlic bread or focaccia and not wine but a cold glass of Pepsi. For dessert fresh lemon pie and espresso. Its an Italian thing.

Atkin's Diet

Took my overnite Brisket off at 6 AM and just finished slicing and sampling it. WOW!!

Breakfast will be a slice of Brisket and two eggs over light.

Lunch will be BBQ'ed Spare ribs

Dinner will be Tri-tip steak off the grill with tossed salad and Blue cheese dressing.

Hows that for a weight loss diet?

Hey illflem... There is a BBQ Contest Cook off in Stevensville MT this week end, Aug 2nd and 3rd. Wish I could get there but I can't make it. There should be lots of beans there for you. But no rice.

Thanks for the reminder Jim, I've already got my bib cleaned up from the last one ready to go. It's just up the road 5 miles.

illflem and the BBQ Cook off

Well Bill... Tell us about the BBQ. Was the food worth your while.

My wife is preparing BBQ beans as I type. They will be ready tommorrow night.

My wife and I are having lunch with TDR member Paul Somers and his wife at Bubba's BBQ in Cody today.

Food to Alaska

Leaving for Alaska next Wednesday or Thursday.

Gotta fire up the smoker and vacuum pack some ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Also have to take lots of fresh eggs, bacon, cole slaw, BBQ beans, Tri-tip steaks and buns. Makes for quick meals without the fus. Will get the Molson's after we cross the border.

Indian

The per-capita ratio of Indian restaurants (Asian Indian, that is) here in Boulder Colorado is quite large. I've gotta say that I'm now hooked and given the opportunity, will take Indian over anything else. Not the everything-is-curry kind of Indian, but real variety and outstanding flavor. I was born and raised in Wyoming as a meat-and-potatoes guy, but not being one to get stuck in a rut, my allegiance (food-wise) has changed.

Easy, "Goode Company BBQ" in Houston Texas. That is my favorite place to eat in the entire US.

Next time you're down here, let me know. We can meet up at Goode Company, or...

Check out the Taste of Texas restaurant on the West side at I-10 and Beltway. BEST steak I've ever had, period. If I could snap my fingers and have any meal, the meal below would be sitting in front of me.

16oz aged Black Angus filet mignon cooked medium with lemon pepper and garlic butter, salad, baked potato all the way, jalapeno jelly with cream cheese on crackers, and finish it off with chocolate covered strawberries and cinnamon coffee with bailey's.

You can hurt yourself on a meal like that!

Had a place in Atlanta that was named Houston's. I would go in and order a side of Black beans and Brown rice (they made it with some molasses) and a side of Grilled Chicken. I'd mix the two together and it was fine eatin. Also it only cost $3. 00. The side of chicken was a good 6-8 oz's and the beans and rice was another 8 oz's. Put a little hot sauce on it and Wow, good stuff and good for you :D When I lived in Atlanta I had it almost 5 times a week for lunch. When I walked in they would just look at me and say the usual :)

Taste of Texas is my favorite steak, bar-none! Just too bad they don't take reservations.

Brussel sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, tofu, asparagus, soy burgers, and my favorite is dandelion greens with a hint of vegetable oil and vinegar.
