Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) What do you guys suggest

What's the best setting for timing on a stock 12 valve.

1-2 degrees more than stock. More is less on a stocker.

Stock timing is aprox. 13. 5 so up to 15. 5 you can add a little bit of fuel with this degree and up your mielage a little.

I took mine to ATS in Denver and they recommended about 15. Maybe a very slight increase in fuel economy, but it started MUCH better and smoked MUCH less in the cold at altitude where I was living at the time (9000 ft). The only down side was that it became a little less responsive below 1700 rpm or so, but I got used to it.

I took mine to 16. 25, from 14. No mileage change, but did improve throttle response quite a bit. Dropped my peak boost from 45 to 38. Lowered EGTs 150*. Still on the stock h/g.

Got mine set at 16. 5 and I did see an improvement in mpg's; saw about 1. 5 mpg better.
