My Dad is 89 and he don't know what low fat is.

My mother in law is 86 and she don't either.

They still eat home made bread with real butter along with meat and potatoes and fresh vegetables.



Both in their late 80's and to dumb to go low fat. So am I. Boy those ribs were good at supper. A couple of ribs and 2 fried eggs will work for breakfast.

I make cornbread pancakes (scratch) and put butter and a tad of molasses on them... with a hot cup of coffee... . oh yeah!



Equal parts cornmeal and flour 1/2 cup each

1 heaping teaspoon baking powder

1 egg

milk till thicker than regular pancake batter

a tad of vanilla (if you want)





Waffle iron or griddle (pan)

actually A-1 sauce on pancakes is excellent, along with some country(thick sliced) bacon... . mmmmmm

I usually make scratch waffles with pecans in them with maple syrup... . mmmm,mmm,mmm'



But I do make pancakes on occasion, I mash up some banana and put some chopped pecans in there and cook them up and put some maple syrup on 'em and they is good, good, good, making myself hungry, think I'll have some pancakes and crisp bacon for dinner tonight...
