Wondering what type of fuel pressure guage to put in my truck. Looking Geno's catalog, the Isspro mech or the Westech Elec. You guys have any preference? Want something simple to install and reliable. Thanks for the help.

Most seem to be going with mec. becouse if you have a leak its hard to get rid of the smell , the elec. are more expensive , if you feel confident with you install then mec.
You should go back to the user control pannel and fill in the info on your truck so we can help easyer .

My electronic Westach fuel pressure gauge has worked fine for years. It was a LOT easier to install than an mechanical. So I don't understand the "less problematic" statement. I don't know about other gauge brands, but I have had no trouble with Westach for all my gauges.

Mechanical for me. Isspro with zero issues. I ran an isolator so the only liquid you have in the line going into the cab is a very small amount of glycol. I dont think I'd run straight deisel into the gauge though I've heard of some folks doing it.

I like the isspro mechanical. It really is not hard to install and it works well. With a mechanical gauge, you should add an isolator but it is not a big deal.

Talked to the Guys at Genos over lunch, and he talked me into the electrical Westech. Actually, the check book talked me into it, about 40 bucks cheaper. Thanks for the replies.

I had two of the electric gauges from Geno's (got one for sale cheap) and would never use one again... They were very erratic. Do the mechanical setup w/isolator and antifreeze. Just make sure you get all the air bled out... I've seen both types give false readings when there is air in the lines. My . 02
