Thanks,

A friend's truck of mine is a 99 model. He has an Edge Comp box, Smarty, 275 HP injectors, silver 62, fass 150, and HO vp44.

Is the edge comp and smarty a good stack ? What other stack would be good to stack with Smarty?

Thanks

yes its a very good stack! It dosent use the smarty timing to its advantage, it still times on the edge (Make sure you only use the Non Timing even SW's) ! A tst seems to make a great stack but if you have a edge and stay there unless your shooting for a ton of power! The high timing eventually cause problems! The timing causes higher Cyl. Temps! And Higher Heat soak...
All in one simple line... . Its a great stack for a daily driver with good air and fuel supply!

Thanks for the input. I do not see alot of power increase when my friend dials up the comp above level 2 or more when the smarty is on level 5. The truck runs great and has tons of power

John, i thought raised pressure increased heat soak which raised cylinder temps... . theres so many discussions on it, im not sure which way is up, I can tell a diffrence on my cool down times , it seems like it takes alot longer to cool down with timing, i know advanced timing seems to raise the heat soak..... i think a motor seems to be more affected in a bad way from advanced timing!

Smarty Level 5 adds timing..... levels 2,4,6,8 do not add timing. He should not run the smarty on timing with the edge. He is gonna have engine failure with added timing.

I have run timing with both and have not noticed any issues. My cool down time does slow down a hair but not to horrible. But granted I dont run it too long or very often, but only because I don't need the extra timing of both usually. However when I am shooting for prolonged HP I run both with it.
