Lp gave up the gost again, thinking about upgrading the fuel system, already have Vulcan 1/2 inch line with the framerail kit. Would like to go to a Vulcan 1/2 inch pick-up tube with a GDP Walbro 392 kit with a 2 micron filter. Would like to also do something with the factory filter/fw seperator/fuel heater. Live uphere in the midwest, gets pretty cold. concerns are 2 micron filter freezing up un the framerail, doesn't make much sense to put a 7/10 micon filter/separator after a 2 micron filter. don't want to mount the 2 micron after the factory filter due to heat soak in the engine compartment(as if we don't have enough problems with vp heat) I was thinking mounting the factory filter/heater on the framerail, extend the wires for the heater, and mount the 2 micron behind it, all close to engine compartment would like to eliminate heater altogether but worried about temps around here. Seems like it would eliminate some of the fuel heatgain in summer from the factory filter, fuellines wil still soak up some heat from the engine in winter. what do you all think??

Sounds like everything I've done so far. Check my post out [thread=166576]Vulcan Draw Straw Install[/thread] it has pictures of the tank draw straw install you should see a slight snap of the factory FF on the inside frame rail close to the skid plate. I can PM you a better picture of the factory FF on the rail, although the mount isn't that pretty I fabbed it up from some old shelf legs I had some time ago. I basically extended the wires from the stock location to the relocation - it's all good.

Thanks Joe, I saw your post earlier, Yeah, send me a picture of that factoryff install, was wondering on how to do that without having the bottom fuel line hang to low and still be able to get the filter out.

thanks Pete
