Tires and a couple trips across country.

I love my B&W, but wondering how much of my limited GVWR I've sacrificed. I can't find anything (even on B&W's site) about what it weighs. I haven't updated my sig yet but I've moved back to Maine, and the diesel bears have a special place in their hearts for rigs that look like mine. :(

Probably less than 200#.

Thanks! That's less (better) than I'd thought. I've got 14k gooseneck which, if I follow the guidelines, ought to but 2800-3k on the pin. But the way the truck weighs out with the usual assortment of stuff and my own carcass, I've only got about 2k to play with.

I've had the trailer loaded up to 12,500 (a guesstimate based on the weights of the tractors I was haulin'--I didn't get near any scales that trip), and had to set the tractors as far forward as I could get them to avoid any tendency to sway. I put the lighter one to the front and got as close as I could to centering the hind one over the trailer axles. Pulled like a charm but I'm not sure how it would all have scaled out.

I've got a B&W I installed myself and lifted all the pieces. I just put the companion hitch in again for my annual trek down south so it's fresh in my mind. There are 3 pieces to the B&W, the part that mounts to the frame, the fifth wheel companion base and the head of the hitch that sits on the base. Based on how the weight of the pieces compare to 50 pound bags of salt that I carry into my basement for the water softener, I would say each piece weighs about 50 pounds or less since I can handle them easily.

So, after this long winded explanation, in my opinion the B&W total weight on your truck is about 150 pounds or so, certainly not much more. I don't think it will be as high as 200 pounds.

If you are just using the gooseneck and not the companion fifth wheel hitch I would guess the weight to be about 60 pounds.
