What does it mean when your truck is shipped to storage??

I ordered a 3500 QC 4x4 6sp LB Dually at the 1st of Dec. It was supposed to ship around Feb 13th. According to the dealer it was shipped to Storage. Does anyone know what this means or why? According to the build list it was shipped with a 6. 7L.

Don't Know What It Means But That's Where Mine Is Too. There Are Several Peoples Trucks Ship To Storeage.

Just a guess but it may mean a part is backordered that is needed to complete the build.

Do you think they are holding back release because they don't want us to have our trucks for some untold reason. Say waiting for spring?

I think it means they have a huge inventory of 5. 9's and once the new 6. 7's are seen in public, the 5. 9 will be hard to get rid of..... my uneducated guess.....

I believe they are stalling for the inventory reason but why take so long on mine which is a C&C for which they allready have on lots now that have a lower HP rating.

Received confirmation today that my truck ordered on 19 Jan is in a hold status... Code BG! Which effectively acknowledges the order but restricts it from being scheduled for build due to some material deficiency (as explained to me "this type of hold can happen when something in your build is not available on the line". Some further digging has revealed that this may be in order to resolve some discrepancy in the the 6. 7L's EGR system...



I pass this along not 100% sure of the veracity of this report, because this could possibly explain the issues some of you are experiencing in the "Anyone know when" and What's it mean when your trucks been shipped to storage" threads...
