There is more to this swap than the kit from advanced adapters or quad 4x4. I got the whole shebang from Quad 4x4.

Since the mainshaft on the NV4500 is longer you need to remove some metal from it so it will clear properly into the flywheel & bearing. You could use a grinder but I would not recomend that I would put it on a lathe. You can have problems if you dont do this & it requires transmission disassembly to do it properly. Yes you can do it on the cheap but I use my truck and didnt want it throwin a transmission when I was somewhere close to BFE.

I upgraded to a sealed bearing so I removed my flywheel to be cut for the bigger bearing.

You will need a new bellhousing for a NV4500

It will need to be ground in a few places to fit your truck if you dont order the kit. You need spacers or an adapter to make the NV4500 fit your crossmember. (this is a bugger if you DIY)

You need adapters to make your linkages fit. (T-case shifter)

Dont forget cutting the hole in your floor.

If went with a new clutch from south bend at the same time and Quad 4x4 gave me the best deal on that with the transmission.

I have the video but I would not hurt our vendors by mailing that out to everybody. The Quad 4x4 guys were great and I buy all my dodge parts through them now. Heck I cant even imagine doing that swap w/o the kit from them but you could. It would just be rude to shaft such a nice vendor like that.

i pretty much have everything i can think of to do it so i am going to give it a shot. the biggest thing is if i had been able to see the video it would have showed the install with using quads kit and that i think would have sold me

on getting dans kit but when your talking about spending 4,5. 00 for an

unknown (to me) kit and transmission i just would not feel good about taking

the chance yes i have been burned in the past

Just get the Advanced Adaptors bellhousing, it's all you need. You can also use a piece of 3"x2" box steel to bolt the transmission to the stock mount. If you need pics. PM me.
