What does it weigh?

Ok guys,

I'm hoping some of you have put your truck on the scales like mine. I hope to put mine on next week but everytime I'm at the scales I have thr trailer too.

So, what does a 98 QC 24v 3500 4x4 5 spd with B&W turnover GN hitch, and diamond plate running boards weigh. Oh and 235's on it too. I'm guessing between 7800 and 8100 pounds.

I am trying to get an estimate to calculate out HP. I am hoping to get it on the scales next week before we leave for the SETDR event in TN. It appears if I use a conservative figure of 7850 I am putting out 290 RWHP. I'll take it.

Had 4440 lb. Front, 5440 lb Rear, 6100 lb. Trailer axles.
Hauling a 43 Ft. Sundowner horse trailer from South Oklahoma to Elkhart, Indiana. They put the interiors in them at Elkhart. This was a 4 horse trailer with living space in front bigger than my motorhome!!!!
I would not want to haul it loaded!!!
I usually haul camper out of Elkhart, IN area. Have all the hitches anyone would ever need on my truck, lots of fuel.

I weighed it today. 7740 lbs with a full tank of fuel and me and my wife. Thats exactly how I was loaded when I ran the 17. 5 1/4 mile.

Ok got mine weighed for the silly license stuff in PA and got the shock of my life,,My Quad LWB 4x4 5spd tripped the CAT scale at 6880 lbs wet(full load of fuel),,Nothing else was in at all,,Quads will weigh in heavier than the Ext cabs,I figured they were about the same,,Good thing I was not inside or it would have been ugly!!!!,,Lets see,truck at 6880 and me TILTING at 330=TWO MUCH PASTA!!!,,On the axles mine was 4140 front and 2740 rear,,Now if I could only figure out how to drive it from the bed maybe it would balance things out a little bit and help with the inherent wheel spin problem!!! #ad

Mine weighs about 8300 with a load of fuel and me on board. This is fully dressed with an aluminum bed and all of my survey equipment. A little different than an empty truck, but that is the weight I run all of the time. Seeing about 18 MPG on the open road, if I drive at reasonable speeds and am careful with the go pedal.

I once saw a crew cab GM at the tractor pulls (highly modifed) named "backseat driver". A single seat right in the middle of the back seat. Forget what he was running for power, but he sure made some sweet sounds.

Well I guess if I set mine up like that puller you saw somebody beeter figure out how to mount a face shield on my war bonnet,,I mean,it would be kinda harsh chomping bugs while trashing the brand-x diesel gang,,All in all,It still would be a wild ride though,,Bring on the pasta baby,I need more ballast!!!!
