What does the Bully Dog Downloader Do?

I have a power pup and I have seen quite a few threads that say it adds timing and duration only on the first two setting and adds pressure on the extreme and anything in between. Does anyone know for sure?

It allows you to talk to the Pluto probe. I believe you can use it to load different power programs (performance, towing, mileage) to your Bully Dog box.

I'll tell ya this, I heard the same you did, but I have maybe gotten 1-1. 5 mpg better with the tripledog running in either towing or performance. They at Bdog say that perf. yields best mileage. I think I got one where that may not be true, I have seen 24 mpg on the overhead with no wind, 60-65 degrees outside, nighttime, flat ground at 52 mph in top gear. going the other way it read like 20. 8. That was over a 3 mile stretch, so I was watching the overhead after hittin the reset. It went down, then stabilized at those figures. I run it in tow mode now light truck and i like this mode because it smokes far less under acceleration. I think they kinda lied to me because they told me I could adjust shiftpoints on my auto. Well you can't!!!! You can't even calibrate the speedo for tire size changes!!

I wouldn't believe that overhead pc of crap when it comes to mileage--best to do it the old fashioned way---you should call them and talk to them about it as it's possible you got a dud or something you're doing wrong or ?????--but I'd call them---chris
