I was on the Piers Diesel Research website and saw this hitch cover for sale... had to do a double take... look familiar? Mods, I'd say someone liked your logo a little too much; you seem to have copyright/trademark infringers on your hands.

YUP, it MIGHT be Piers doing the "Patent infringement" bit... :-laf

I mean, after all, who woulda thought of incorporating a TURBO into a company logo or grille emblem with these trucks... ;) :-laf

Fred--are you a lawyer looking for work??? why the 'ell would you care, plus if you knew how long PDR has been around and all the events they've been involved in with the the TDR you'd be ashamed of yourself for uttering such nonsense--- chris

Besides its not even Piers Diesel Research and more... its Performance Diesel Research... . Piers does not work there any more.

No, I'm not a lawyer, I've been in the Army for 16 years, quite a few of those in Aviation and quite a few in Special Forces. I wasn't trying to be a jackhole, but since you've stepped up and put me in my place, instruct me on how long Piers has been in the business, since I'm so ignorant.

Fred--Piers has been around since the 90's---my memory doesn't recall specific dates, but he worked for BD back then and then opened up what is now PDR in the late 90's or early 00's---he's a stand up guy and well liked, so since it seems you don't know who he is and what he's done I'll forgive your oversight(bet that puts you at ease, like you were all tensed up anyway over this)---really though we all think that everyone knows of Piers, PDR, etc... . and I thought it odd that such would be brought up---he sold these hitch covers at TDR events and I'm pretty sure he did the logo with the TDR's blessing and since it's been around for so long it just came across that you were trying to stir something up---there are others that can give more exact dates, but whether they decide to or not is up to them, but my dates are fairly close even if vague---

on another note---thanks for your service to our country-----chris

I honestly had never heard of PDR, before I clicked on their Google link for the FASS. I don't get out to TDR events, because my military duties keep me busy, so this forum is the only venue I get to interact and learn about diesel performance/specialty shops. I wasn't trying to stir anything up, but I know that some companies get extremely PO'd when their logos are used... . my uncle was sued by the folks who own the rights to Betty Boop, because he used her likeness on his video stores.
