Well, the creative juices have been running... . and at the possible detriment of my check book.

what does a 2 wheel drive regular cab long box (or chassis cab)auto weigh?

it would be cool to shorten the frame to use a short box.

Put her on a strict diet... and centralize mass could I get weight down to 5000#?

17x10 wheels... . twin turbos... . DD3 or SM injectors... . HOT PE... 20 gallon fuel cell... N2O... C3H8

well, could I get into the 12's?

Calculator says you could run 12. 50's all day with 526 HP. If you weighed in at 5200lbs.

Its do-able... . 526HP is just a few grand away.

Prolly some nice 16x32 slicks

Ladder bars to stop the rear axle flex

4:10 gears and your there.

automatic trans would be cool too

Yup,Evan is right. I weighed Emily's 2wd reg-cab/auto in at 5810 lbs. I've already ran the 500hp idea by her,but she said no way. ;)

Tires

It would be easy to hook a 12 second anything on a slick that fit on the stock rim. Whats so cool is the whole drivetrain can handle it(well DTT equiped auto would be needed. . or a clutch). An auto would be your best bet for drag racing :) come on man... do it do it! ;)

6110 with 1/2 tank of fuel. See Signature. Stock truck with no additional accessories when weighed.

You know, you might be wise to buy a 1/2 ton stripper truck and transplant a Cummins into it... .....

I was thiking about that, but the front suspension and brakes may not be able to handle a CTD... plus the frame may twist like a pretzyl with over 1060ft*lbf of torque.
