what dos "Err" mean ?

It's working ! I slipped in a John Lee Hooker blues CD at lunch at it's working perfectly.

Mine displays Err and ejects the disc if it's too hot or cold for the cd player. Took me to read the audio system manual to figure it out.

I pushed the play button on my CD this morning and "Err" was displayed.

Yes, there was a CD inside and it was playing fine yesterday afternoon. After displaying the error message the CD was ejected. I tried other CD's thinking maybe the equipment was tired of Carlos Santanna but it "Err"ed Dire Starits also.

Any thoughts?

If you are talking about the CD on your computer you can clean it with a cleaning disk. That might help. Of course, it may just be belly up and have to be replaced.

Mine Did it to one of my wife's CDs...
hit eject, threw it out the window and told her it didn't do that to the last woman that sat there.

Luckily I have an oversized couch.

(hadn't consorted the manual but I'd wager it is telling you to clean either the CD or the Player itself, my previous GM product did that via hours of play time)

Mine did same as illflem's. When it got too hot, err'd and then spit the cd out. It went flying into the back seat, cut my dog's head clean off, then ... . OK, I'm back now. I get carried away some times. #ad
