they needed to use this engine because of a shortage of V6's. at that time, Mitsubishi was the only supplier of V6 engines. Dodge wasn't making their own yet.



i had the very first caravan in 1984 with the 2. 2L 90 HP engine and it was totally gutless. i couldn't wait to order this baby and i had to put $4000 down when i ordered it. the dealer told me it was non refundable.



it is a real sleeper. cruises comfortable at 105 mph. but that was many years ago.

What year is the bug? My dad has one the same color, his is a '67 all origional with 30,xxx miles on it. Wicked looking Supra as well.

Thanks for the compliments, its an 2004 mexican bug with under 300 miles. One of the last to roll off the assembly line before they shut down the factory.

I vote BB Mopar... ... . My ford buddy and I used to go to car shows and get sick of seeing Ford this with SB Chevy power, old dodge that with SBC... That will for sure get the Chevrolet "Purists" upset.



For the record, I don't like topics like this either, because all my junk does not look nearly as nice as other peoples stuff. :{ My junk is a little rough around the edges.
