I want to know what parts on these 2nd generation 24 valve trucks are interchangeable.

Ex. will an injection pump (vp44) from a 98. 5 work on a 02?

Will a lift pump from a 99 work on an 01?

Are the injectors the same on these engines?

Are the rims the same on all the 2nd generation trucks?

Are all the radiators interchangeable?

Things like this I would like to find out about but dont know where to look.

I look around on ebay for different items but never know what fits what.

Any help is appreciated.

I know the 245 hp ETH has unique injectors (smaller than the rest!) & some differences in the injector pump. I think the lift pumps are all the same. Some one with more expertees may chime in soon... .

Rims...

I know a bit about the 2nd gen rims from my investigations last year.

The 2nd gen alloy wheels will not fit on an earlier 2nd gen with drum brakes unless the drums are turned down on the outside edge for clearance. Also have heard that there is clearance problems at the tie rod ends.

As far as the steel wheels, they are all 16" of course and all should bolt up. The older steel wheels are narrower than the newer ones. My 99 had 16"x6. 5" wide rims. I think the newer 2nd gen steel wheels are 16"x8". Someone correct me here if I'm wrong.
