While under my truck trying to fix my rear end problem I saw my exhaust is about to go. I want to upgrade and just wanted to see what is the best exhaust at a fair price. Thanks

I haven't bought an exhaust for mine yet, but I've heard good things about Rip's and the price seems fair. I think you can delete the muffler and save a little money if you want to. :)

Just the other day I crawled under my 92 to inspect the exhaust system and unfortunately everything is still in good shape :( but for how long? I may just have to help it mature ;) .

I installed a jannety racing system on my 92 a while back and I love it. The muffler supplied with the system is a little louder than stock but not too loud and it really helped the turbo spool up. A lot of turbo whistle in the exhaust. Runs a lot better than stock. Here is the link if you are interested.

My brother had a Banks system on his, and recently had PDR put on their 4" system.

I had asked if my brother would let me run his muffler from the Banks system after he did the change... "no" he says, "I want to keep it"...

The next day he phoned and said "you can have the muffler I won't be needing it"... he loves the new PDR sound... .

RATS, Foiled again... . but hey, I do know were he lives and parks...

Exhaust Systems???

First things being first and all that, after taking delivery of the '92 [I mean that day] the stock 3" system fell to the bottom of the service pit by way of the heat wrench.

My course of action may not work for everyone, but fits my bill [read wallet] After removal of old, I installed a temporary pipe and measured for a replacement system. I used a Nelson exhaust catalog to determine my options and designed my own system. Decided upon 3. 5" with out muffler and substituted the lower half of down pipe with 3. 5" stainless flex. Made records of all part nos. to simplify ordering. Also ordered stainless band clamps and universal hangers.

About a week later, with goodies in hand, I proceeded to install. Cutting and welding the section above rear axle was the most time consuming.

In short, I liked the price and LOVE the sound :D :D   especially the whistle!!!
