What exhaust tip!!

I'm looking at getting a magnaflow system for the 03 and most of the systems don't come with a tip. I think the lengths are 8, 13 and 20 some inches. Which one do I get for a SRW 2500 that won't stick out to far and look silly. I'm pretty sure the 20+ inch one isn't for the SRW trucks, but not sure if the 13 will stick out way to far. I know some TDR members have the magnaflow system on their 03's and 04's so hopefully they can help me out.

You'll probably need the 8" or the 13", due to the curve of the pipe near the end. Click on my reader's rigs gallery and you can see the Magnaflow on my '00 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab. I also put a Magnaflow Stainless Steel Tip on my '03... it's 13" long, also in the gallery. Hope this helps.

I looked at your photos of both trucks. Both very nice!! The tips look very good. I guess the 13" would be the safest way to go. I could always break out the sawzall if I needed to. Thanks for the reply. The pics were worth a thousand words.

Well, UPS showed up at my door today with my Magnaflow system and tip!!Oo. I have a slow week at work so I am home most of the day, but my daughter is sick so I suppose I better tend to her instead of replacing an exhaust system. I didn't know the tip had to be welded on I figured it had a clamp so I may have to run around without a tip for a while until I can find a welder to use or see if I can find a shop to weld it on.



Anyone who is looking for an exhaust system needs to give Rip at www.sourceautomotive.biz a call. I called him Monday afternoon and ordered the system and it is on my step at 12 noon Wednesday. Thanks Rip!!!

How does a turndown change the exhaust note? Personally i hate my 5" tip i got with my system. It looks like an import coffee can .

Nick, I am not trying to change the sound, just trying to keep the exhaust stain to minimal. FOR NOW ! I saw your pics, Great looking truck. By the way, does your girlfriend have a sister or any friends. I thought I was at the wrong site. Very nice if you don't mind me saying so. With mods to that truck, it has to run like a raped ape.

This is a really dumb question but what do you guys mean with the "raped ape" ? Thanks for the girlfriend stuff . Id like to change out my tip for either just a nice 4" tip or a turndown. Not sure which route im gonna take yet

You know, I am not sure, I have never seen a raped ape. I don't think I want to either. But I always hear peolpe say it. I guess I better stop with that expression. Let me know what tip you decide to go with. I am thinking exhaust, intake, Edge-EZ, guages and 315's, ( NICE TAX RETURN ) but I think I need to buy a bigger boat instead.
