Competition OMG the "IRON GIANT" rules !!!!!!

I have a 95 regular cab 5 speed with new 33" tires and 3. 54 gears,a south bend clutch,the motor is making about 730hp. at 3200,and 1460tq at 2500.

It seems like 3rd low is to slow and 4th is too tall. Any input would help, this is my first dodge for pulling,i've had chevys before this.

I have heard, when you run on the hi side of the transfer case you tend to break more trannys and transfer case stuff, Low side usually break rearends and u-joints. Just a thought that came to mind while reading this.

If you're making 730 HP, I think the torque numbers are a little low. B  ut then it might be the way you're way you're pulling the rollers. Any way, how did you get 730? Me and Justin want to know.

. . PT. .

The motor was on a super flo 902 motor dyno,it has a EEP cam, valve trane, and pistons. The head work was done by a place in Monroe Wi. ,the pump, turbo, and injectors were done by Phil Jollif. The clutch is a south bend duall disk. In 3rd low it just spins the tires and the tac is way past 4000.

Chris did you sell the black Dmax? and/or the first gen?? Try 2nd high or 4 lo or get more tire and try to hook the truck better. Were have you been pulling at??

Craig

Yep,the 1st gen is gone, and a guy in Wi. wanted my 03 chevy bad enough to make it worth selling. He wanted it with all the stuff, even the nitrous. So I went out and bought an 05 GMC. We have only pulled 3 times,2 in Il. ,and 1 in Wi. I'm worried that the stock transfer case will explode in hi 2nd,so I put a set of 315-75-16s on and will try lo3rd with a little more speed.
