Competition What gear?

I'm interested in pulling, but have yet to give it a go. I have an 02 6 speed, edge comp, stage 4, con fe, stock tires. What gear should I choose? Probably will be only pulling in Cynthiana, so anybody familiar with that track please help me out.

I am no expert by any means, but it would be useful to give us the ratio so we can give an idea of what might be a good starting point. My 01 is a 6speed with 3. 54 and on the only track ( hard and slippery ) I have ever pulled on 3rd gear on the low side of the T-case worked well with little or no input from the Edge Comp.

I would advise against it with the single disk clutch. I burned up a TST clutch there a few years back my first time ever pulling. C-town usually has a tight track, and really you'd only be doing it for kicks because there is usually a lot of compeition @ C-town and they come ready to play with dual disks and weight bars.

run the single disk and bald tires for a tight track thats what i have done and so far this year its done me good :-laf

I was just wanting to play around at the County Fair. With a 15 dollar entry and 200 first prize, of course I'm just doing it for kicks. : )
