Value of Engine parts?

I am changing out the gears in my truck and was wondering what other guys with big tires are running for gears. I can't decide if I should just go with 4. 10's or jump to 4. 56's. I don't drive my truck everyday and I like to drag race and truck pull. Let me know what you think.

I have 4. 10's with 35" tires and like it. Starting a heavy load on an incline is the only time I would want the 4. 56's from my limited towing experience.

Nobody makes 4:56 gears for a Dana 80.

Choices are 4:30 or 4:88.

I got some 4:30 for mine, 4:88 is a little bit to low.

There are also 4:63, but none that ratio for the front 60 made.

Dana 70, 60, yep, 4:56 available

What brand gears are you running I can not find a 4. 30 for a front d60 or is your truck 2wd?

TJ

Dana for the Dana 80.

Precision Gear for the Dana 60.

You will have to change the rear carrier for the 4:30.

The front carrier will accept the 4:30.
