What gives on other forums?

As I write this I had been snooping around at some of the "other" forums. Reading up on the Ford boys and Chevy folks. I have read things that have blown my mind. Those of you that have dabbed into foreign territory have seen it too, you must have. I shouldn't have to give examples.

Why do the owners of the other brands talk so much smack, putting down anything we do, saying we are idiots, etc... ... ... ... .

It is really driving me nuts, the only thing I can possibly think of is "wannabe?" I don't want to add to the war out there now, but good grief the internet is full of good info, can't people read and figure fact from fiction? I by no means mean all people, but good grief WAKE UP and do your research before your post your so called facts... ... ... ..... it is good to be on a pay sight

I think it's because they hate what they fear. :-laf Seriously, all trucks have their good and bad points. Obviously, most like to play up the good points and blow off the bad ones. It doesn't matter which brand you own. It happens here just as much as it does anywhere else. The only reason its not as bad is because you have to pay here, and that keeps out most trolls and younger kids who brag about "daddys truck".

I have read some crazy stuff here that is presented as fact. I have even had people attack me for even suggesting that Dodge's may NOT be perfect. It's all just the nature of the beast IMO.

i spend a lot of time on other sites as well as this one,while i agree that this site has a tad less bs,there is a lot here also. you will find this on all sites,but like you say,being on a pay site is nice. one has the advantage of less bs,and trolls provideing false info,or just picking fights. many people take to these sites trying to find honest info about trucks,and the personal experiences of those who own these vehicles,before they take the plunge into buying one for themselves. provideing false info,relaying certain rumors with no factual basis,or makeing fun of others misfortunes with a particular brand dosent hold water with me. .

Baiting??? Alright I will bite Allow me to modify that statement a little. (fun only) There are riders that are deaf, dumb, blind, and ego driven that buy/ride Harley's and there are riders who use common sense and laugh at the fools on the Harley's. Now that is Baiting. True, but baiting and trolling none the less.

Although, I wouldn't mind having a Sportster, but I've never liked GeezerGlides.

I was told there are limits to owning a Harley when I looked at getting one to cruise on when I wasn't on the R1. I was told that I was too young and skinny to buy one. The dealer said since I was already used to a bike that had power and reliability, I would be disappointed in an H-D. I explained to him that I really wanted to hop on the HD bandwagon and I watch OCC every week and I want to be a weekend warrior just like everyone else. He still said it was a bad idea. I told him I would try back when I hit 30 and in the meantime I would eat larger portions and take fewer baths. :-laf Now I've only got 6 more months til I hit 30. . Maybe I should start looking at H-D's again. :-laf

Some days I agree I have too much time in here, and ya I am whining, :{ was a bad morning that day. I am stocking up on parts, by June I should have a enough kits put together, minus the turbos, too be ready for orders. Chilly's look nice, I am kind of jealous I didn't put them on my truck yet... ... ... lol, sooooooooon. I am figuring on putting four more together then when they sell all I need to do is order the turbos and install, oh ya that's right, we still have to do your head, and are you going to want the bigger valve springs? How much of the work you wanna do yourself? Should have a price by the end of the week, then I will get back to you.

Bummer now is Tim is sick, so tonight is get some air lines ran through the shop, let me tell 36000 sq ft of shop space rocks, I am buying a golf cart to get from end to the other... ... ... ... ... can you say lazy... ... ... ..... lol, but parts get heavy

At some level they have to quit complaining about their own trucks and find a new topic.

I branched out today and decided to read about how the 6. 0 was fairing. I am from a Ford family and my brother and good friend really like their 7. 3's so it is interesting to me.

A guy asked whether or not he should trade in his half ton for a new 6. 0. That turned into an interesting conversation. At one point they even blamed tdr members for making their polls too lop sided on the number of problems and buy backs they have had. And another person thought that taking a chance on a new truck that 25% of seemed to be lemons, was a good idea.

All in all I think that the moderators do a good job of keeping this site from turning into a "my truck is better than your truck" site. I don't know about all of the tdr members, but I want their trucks to run good. Diesel power is fun and people need to have a choice on what to buy. Just my . 02

I bought a dodge for the motor not the truck.
