I recently found that the window in my '98 quad cab passenger side rear door has become detached from the hinges. Some sort of glue is used to attach the window to the two sheet metal hinges on the forward edge of the window. Apparently the rubber seal got pulled out of its grove when I opened the window and then the rubber got pinched between the window and door frame when I closed the window which caused too much pressure on the hinges?? I have pulled the window completely off the truck by unbolting the swing out latch from the door frame so I can clean everything and re-insert the rubber seal properly. Has anyone found a good glue to re-attach the window to the two metal hinges? I bought some glue that's used for attaching a rear view mirror to a windshield, but thought I'd ask here first in case there's a better glue. I have not tried the Dodge dealer yet.
I'm not new to this forum, but this is my first post. I'm usually able to find the answers to my questions and problems using the search function. This forum has really been helpful over the past 1 1/2 years that I have owned this truck. I don't know how I ever got by in the early years before the internet and TDR!
Thanks,
