Note the fact that the main caps are still on the crankshaft and bolted to the upper main web of the cylinder block. . !!! Looks like the cylinder block and the crankshaft got a divorce and the crankshaft took most of the cylinder blocks belongings!!!.

Seriously, I am surprised as thorough as CAT usually is that there is not some kind of pressure limiter to prevent an unintentional downshift.
With a solid powertrain connection and a loaded truck pushing it that motor didn't stand a chance against a 5 gear downshift.....
