Today I finally got around to rebuilding the steering coupler in my 93. So it came apart pretty easy and was going back together good. So I go to line up the coupler to the stub shaft on top of the box. I contemplate sticking a punch in the hole and making sure I had it lined up correctly for the roll pin. But I look at the shaft and notcie it has a flat spot. So I think to myself, okay, it will only go one way. So I put it on and try to hammer the roll pin back in. I notice it's a real PITA to get back in and only get it in a little bit. Of course I already have the rag joint reconnected. The I get to looking, at I can see it pretty far out of adjustment. Of course I've beat the crap out of the roll pin trying to get it in. After trying a few times to pull it out, I decide it will wait for tomorrow and I wanna see how this thing steers. I will say it's a world of difference. I no longer have the 2 inches of play in the wheel!
So, what's my best bet? A pair of vise grips? Also, That stupid clip that hold the rubber seal I ripped came back loose. Any ideas to get that thing to stay when it's on the pickup? Get that fixed and she's ready to sell
