I certainly wouldn't have passed over my truck if it had a regular cab. In fact, my color combo- flame red/bright silver would look awesome in a RC/LWB. The single cabs just look better, IMO. Simplicity. Until a bunch of friends (girls) ;) want to go out. Then you're glad as heck you got the extra seat!

it can go the other way too. i like my reg cab for that reason sometimes. Go to the bar with some friends, i dont get stuck driving because i can't fit everyone. for my purposes, the reg cab is great.

I've almost always had two pickups, both old reg cab dodge gassers as I saved for the retierment big ticket trade up stuff. Got the 3500 Quad shortie SRW 5. 9 first for my "luxury car". Couple months later got the 2500 reg cab 5. 9. Definitely the reg cab feels & looks classic pickup. Like driving it lots more. Selling either never going to happen. I'm now sure Quad shortie will always be low mile luxury rig. Barn dances, sparkin'. . ,

If you need a QC for them... ..... well good luck with ALL that.

What really sucks is, I mentioned before that this is my only ride sans the Vic sittin' in the garage. No matter what I write on the paperwork, I still don't dare go over 0. 04 on the breathalizer. Commercial plates suck for a personal vehicle.

:-laf :-laf :-laf , I will say that traveling with the RC was tight with 2 people. All the luggage was behind the seats. But traveling with the QC is that much better cause the rear fold flat sure saves money on the hotels ;)

In my honest opinion the Regular/ Cab third gen is the best looking of the 2500/3500's and my favorite combo would be a mineral grey Reg/ Cab Dually 4x4 with a G56 Nav/ Laramie etc... . But I don't believe Dodge makes a) Mineral grey duallies b) it's hard enough to find a standard cab as it is. I drive a Short/ Box 4x4 Quad, but in hind sight I would have got me a SRW Reg/ Cab 4x4. I didn't use my QuadCab for the first 1. 5 years, but I admit I use it quite a bit now so I'm glad I've got one.

When i was shopping for a dodge with cummins DRW I did run across a dealer with a 2006 regular cab 8 foot bed DRW with cummins. a pretty sweet truck. Come to think of it, I haven't really seen any regular cabs on the roads recently. I finally settled for a 04. 5 QC DRW with cummins. To be quite honest with you I want to buy a 2006 mega cab for my mom when they get cheaper. Also if chrysler offered a 6 door pickup with 8 foot bed DRW I would probably jump the gun on it. Its nice having the extra space to haul all your buddies, cruising on the beach or going to a party. I won't have to substitute the great dane and retriever for anyone anymore either. I know it would be a big truck and having the turning radius of a school bus but I wouldn't mind. I already park in the back of the mall parking lots hogging 4 spaces. The only thing I would have to do different is a 3 point turn won't work in the dunkin donuts drive through and I'd have to use a different fuel station where I can get to the pumps. But what I am saying space is what alot of people want. all of you guys with regular cabs have to admit that there are times you do wish that you had the space or at least could have used it. I grew up landscaping with my father. We would pack 6 of us in a regular cab chevy all the time. I hated it.

When I was looking at trucks I went to the dealer to look at an 03 reg cab truck, it sold so I bought a quad cab from the same dealer. It was basically the same truck other than the QC, I wish I had waited and gotten a regular cab truck, the only thing the extra room is used for is junk, and that can pile up pretty high, pretty quick. Just a bunch more space that I have to clean, I've only had people back there a few times anyways. I'm definitely a regular cab kinda guy.

Add me to the Reg cab crowd. I bought mine in April 2005, and then my wife gets pregnant with TWINS! But I like the truck so much, I may not part with it. I will just by a mini-van and keep the silver torque monster.

"twins" such a very good word on any diesel website. What does it mean? my guess is double the trouble but well worth it. I can't wait til I have money to afford twins.

Im sorry this is late but I have been out of town for the weekend, I am currently asking $26,000 for my truck, 35000 miles

Being somewhat of a traditionalist, mines a regular cab. I ordered it the way I wanted it. There are days when I could use more room, but then I bet the there are days when the guys with 18 wheelers could use more room!

The main reason I stayed with the regular cab is I needed an 8' box and wanted to keep the truck as short as possible to avoid the manoverability problems. Also I prefer the traditional look.

I never buy anything with resale in mind. I buy an item which suites my likes and needs. I never buy anything with the next guy in mind. Yes a regular cab maybe a dieing breed. As you rarely see a newer one around. When I originally ordered mine I tried to get a 3500 reg cab. But they don't make one. So I had to stay in the 2500 series.

Maybe you can put a different slant on the sales perspective by advertising, "rare collectable truck for sale. . !! dare to be different, drive a regular cab"

I know I could pick up the phone and have mine sold by days end, mainly because folks around here know I take very could care of my trucks and I ask a fair price for them when I sell them. They know they will be getting a good truck for the money. Price it right and it will sell.

I'am sure if priced right some fella will come with my perspective, and be pleased to have found it and take it off your hands.

I recently sold my '99 reg. cab. to another reg. cab. fan. The buyer was single,no pets and needed the 8' bed and the shorter wheelbase that handles trails easier. My '07 has taken me a little while to get use to with the longer wheelbase. I couldn't imagine wheelin' with the QC LWB. They sure look good lifted and handle the freeway and dunes good, but good luck on the trails and @ Home Depot. I see these guys circling like covered wagons trying to squeeze into parking spaces, especially the Ford owners with front leaf springs. If it fits your needs, more power to you.

Those are very good points to consider Mr. Goat
