Got a stock 1996 (180hp) auto. Wanted to get some more power, have guages and 4" exhaust. Want to install 3gsk springs and BHAF. I have a 2001, but the 12v is a different animal.

What HP can be expected rom sliding the fuel plate forward?

advancing pump timing 1-2 degrees?

How much can the stock auto handle?

plate full forward, afc full forward, loosen star wheel, advance timing, intake, exhaust= slipping torque converter. But it should get you about 320hp.

no way with stock plate I had aftermarket trans afe stage 1 and #5 plate from tst and star wheel turned up and only dyno 308.

My dad's is like mine was at stock I slid is plate foward I set it a 1/16 back from full foward it seems better then full even though its 1/16.

Then star wheel at 74 click from all the way out keep mpg good and I've spent day with mine when I set it stopping the pedal running a 1/4 mile and stopping and readjusting it and stopping again to get what I though ran the fastest and pulled good then drove it for awhile if mpg is bad go two click back.

Now transmission my dads is stock it handle the power fine except when torgue convertor locks up it takes a bit unless you lift your foot allittle and once lockedup if you step down allittle hard you can make the convertor shudder hope that helps.
