Towing with NO bucking

I have used my truck for both work and play as well as everyday driver. It has been a very good all around vehicle. Attached is my truck with my 37' RV and motorcycle trailer/garage. Also attached is one of the loads I pulled while hauling for Horizon. This is a Porta Pottie trailer used at sporting events, etc. It was the heaviest thing I have ever pulled!!! They told me it was empty, yea, right. I pulled it from Las Vegas to Denver, over Eisenhower pass, and got about 6-7 mpg for the entire trip. This is my 3rd Dodge Cummins and I have loved them all. Would be nice to have a newer one, but this one will do me for quite a while longer.

this is a pic of taken a few years back. the truck is alot rougher looking now. it is a farm truck so it is used for towing and hauling anything from cows, to tractors, to hay, and numerous other farm implements. the heaviest loads it tows is probably 15 to 20k worth of hay.

Thanks for the compliment! I think she is pretty too. She passed 200,000 miles some time ago, and spent most of her life pulling large fifth wheel RV's. The repaint job is a recent present since the original paint was flat wearing out.

We looked at SMW when we were shopping for a house. Fantastic buys in there. Some of that stuff is 50 cents on the dollar... ... ... ... .

But you cannot even fart in that place without permission. We just moved out of a country club in Texas and I had enough of little old people riding around on golf carts looking for violations... ... ... ... No boats, RVs, gardens... ..... nothing.

It takes an Indian to find me now!:-laf

use my RAM 5500 for daily driver and work. use it to tow 10k cargo trailer and 14k dump trailer with or without the ASV RCV track loader. trailer is 1500 lbs over the 14k rating with the 4-1 bucket, loader's bottom and butt plates attached and have to remove trailer tail gates and front panel. oh yes and no more then 5gals of diesel. #ad

truck now has custom partial flat bed to carry buckets and trailer parts for trips between NM and CA (9 one-way trips so far) will post new photo of truck.

Beautiful Pix... ... ... ... .

For you non-horsey folks, Bloomer trailers are a top line unit and they are not lite by any means... ... ..... It is not uncommon for a big LQ Bloomer to have a 5K pin weight.

You are right on the money there... I was shocked the first time i hooked up to it and watched my truck settle all the way down to the overloads! Goin to a 3500 c&c next time

Mr. After Burner,

What makes it so dramatic is the hydraulic jack. When you hand crank a big LQ down, it settles slowly. But that power jack transfers weight from the jack to the truck NOW!

That is also another reason I went to the Rickson Wheels with the 19. 5 tires. I can pull most of the big LQs empty... ... ..... but I would not even attempt pulling some of them loaded.

Besides, there must be a reason why folks have horses, but God has never revealed that to me.
