Hypothetically,

What if you hit a bump on your way to a new job in California, and your cat fell off... .

Anyone at TDR have to deal with imigrating to the Golden state with a missing Cat?

Do they make you buy a new one when you register your truck?

Are there random checks and penalties for "out of staters"?

Specifically south in LA county/Antelope Valley.

Thanks for your 'Puts

Not in the north

There is no smog checks for diesels yet. . Up here in the Sf bay area. KILL THE CAT!

But leave it to CALEPA, if they can extract $$$ from you via diesel smog, it will probably be in the future,,. LOL

Most folks are leaving this jumbled mess of a state and your coming here? :)

Good luck. ed

PS: I was born and raised here. (43 years now). It ain't the "Golden state" anymore. It is becoming the "Turd world" welfare capitol in my opinion.

E,we live close to NYC,there is just a visual inspecton for diesels here,so we dont kill the cat,we neuter it. I remove the cat,gut it from the pipe ends, and reinstall it. No one knows any better, and it passes the visual inspection just fine. So id try to find an old one to do that too if you think you may need it.

Well,I live in lancaster ca. and mine fell off both my trucks the day they came home!!:D Should not be a problem. By the way Antelope Valley is in northern L. A County. FYI.

Concerning Lancaster - a friend of mine is head mechanic for the bus company there. Some of their later model buses came with cats, they routinely replace them once a month due to plugging...
