first gen injectors have smaller tops on them where the lines screw on. Check your 2nd gen and then check the ones you have. This will get you closer to the answer.
I've checked through all the ref books I have ... . and this is what I think you have ... . Cummins injector part # 3930131 which acccording to the book is Bosch part # 0 432 131 005 with the Cummins nozzle # 3929492 Bosch part # 0 433 171 435 This injector is for CPL's 1889 and 2063 with a nozzle opening pressure of 240 bar. This is a 7mm nozzle and will fit in the 2 gen engines ... . but I wouldn't recommend it as the 160 and 180 hp engines have an opening pressure of 260 bar.
I couldn't get an application for the CPL . . because my CPL book is too new and these CPL's are out of production. Someone with an older CPL book might be able to find out what application these CPL's were ... Hope this helps ... .
I got them real cheap and my try them for fun. I have the 215 hp engine and if I understand you correctly they are the same hole size (7mm) as the 160-180 hp engine. Is this correct or not.
Yes ... . but I suspect they are for a much lower HP rating ... . I doubt they will perform well in your 215 ... . you might want to measure the nozzle lengths ... to make sure you use the right thickness for the copper sealing washer. This basically determines where the spray pattern hits the combustion bowl in on your piston ... . Good luck ... let us know how your experiment turns out

(edit) I would also measure the nozzle diameter just to make sure they are 7mm nozzles ... .
