Has GM changed to cast iron heads on the Dmax?

DC putting a Diesel in a Jeep for 2004

Last Friday, the Cisco and Hess truck stops had diesel fuel priced out at 1. 43 per gallon. Gasoline (87 octane) was priced at 1. 38. I noticed this in the morning on the way to work. That afternoon on the way home, diesel had jumped to 1. 45 and gas had dropped to 1. 36. Gas has since dropped to 1. 33 per gallon. The diesel prices are the same. There is no consistency, at least that is obvious, to these price fluctuations. The truck stops appear to have a steady volume of traffic, regardless of the day of the week. I go by these stops at least twice a day, 5 days per week so I'd notice any increase or decrease in the amount of traffic. Both are mad houses due to their proximity to I-95. I see a steady and heavy volume of cars, yet gas prices go down. I see a steady and heavy volume of trucks and prices go up for a day, then down for three. Then up again for a week and down for two, but not as low as the previous low mark. It doesn't make sense, if this is just a supply and demand cycle. There is no consistency to it, and there hasn't been for the better part of the last two years. That's why I think there is a bit of price gouging going on. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can only tell you what I see on a daily basis, in this area.
