what is it??? how can i fix it???

ok took off the drivers side locking hub the other day and guess what i find. lots of metal shavings so i figure huh not a good thing so i investigate?. . i find the locking ring on my hub is missing the gear teeth that engauge the spindel and on the spindel where the sliding gear lock's into is also missing the teeth also not good i take it. so what i want to know is that do i need to replace and whats it called????? thank you in advance Jason. .

The hubs are rather easy to replace. Removal of the retaining ring takes a little patience. I replaced mine last year with a set of Warn's and haven't looked back. I didn't like how cheap the Super Winch hubs looked.

I put a set of Warner hubs in my truck and really like them. Once you have done it a time or two, you can change them in 15 minutes per side. Just make sure to have the snap ring groove cleaned out really well. I used an O-ring pick to get all of the rust and dirt out. Hope this helps.
