6x12x6

IMHO - I wouldn't own a 6x12x6 with only a single 3500# axle unless I was only hauling a couple of ATV's or Motorcycles. Anything heavier like filling it with building materials could overload it.

As for pricing - Depends on the overall condition and what you think an enclosed trailer with 2000# capacity is worth.

I have owned several enclosed trailers and can tell you that is a very good price when compared to new. I use mine to haul dirtbikes so I don't approach the 3500 lbs limit. If you heed BV's advice and don't overload it, it'll be a very good deal.

Since the trailer has surge brakes, I don't know why the GVW is 2900 lbs. It should be the axle rating, 3500 lbs.

The Mfgs. use the 2900 lb rating to squeak under the Federal limit of 3000 GVW for any trailer built without brakes, regardless of the axle rating.

$1600 for an enclosed 6 X 12 sounds like a good price, though. Just check the condition of the flooring and frame.

I have a similar trailer. It is a Haulmark V-nose. It has a ramp door and interior lighting (nice). It does not have brakes. Other than that, it is the same as the trailer you describe.

I paid ~ $2500 new in 2000.
