I know this sounds trite but it's worth what you can get for it. I'd look at KBB. COM and NADA and price it from there. It SHOULD bring more than book but you have to remember, everything BUT the engine has the miles on it.

The average Joe is going to think you beat it to get the new engine and discount it from there. But it only takes one buyer.

In years past I had several Dodge dullys brought in to be checked out for a interested buyer that had 400k plus on the odometers. (12 valves)They also had USED engines and trannys with under 40k in them freshly installed. (yellow wrecking yard dates/mileage written on them) Mack dealer in town would come up with these trucks and he would re powertrain them with used engine/trans/rear axels. All the installs had new filters and done as correctly as possable. The ones we checked we never could find any thing wrong or off in how they drove other then somewhat worn interiors. They were priced SEVERAL thousands above book and SOLD.

Exstroker... . did you have any mods on that truck? I wouldn't know what to think as a buyer, I would prolly lean towards market book value, I personally wouldn't give any more. Is it an auto or six speed... the trans would be my next concern especially if power levels were increased.

I just went to kelly blue book and did a trade in value for an 04 auto slt quad cab short bed with 100000 miles on the ticker. With my area code it gave values between 15,000 to 19,000 on trade depending on condition of vehicle. Selling it out right I would prolly expect something between 20,000-22,000 if you could find a buyer. In your situation it might be best to trade and hope for the upper end of the range, assuming you want to buy something new. If not I would advertise it for 23,000 and see what happens... . just my thoughts.

I think the new engine is a plus, it sounds like a nice truck, it should still fetch a good price. Why sell anyway, you want the new 6. 7?

One thing to think about is that most will have to finance. Some times you can get better financing on a new truck. If someone had the choice between a new truck and a 100,000 mi truck with about the payments they would buy the new truck. The other thing is the new trucks have been selling for about $10,000 off of MSRP or about $6,000 less than "book value" That is the way it was when I bought mine. I could have got a loan for more than I paid for the truck. I really comes down to finding THE person that wants your truck and will pay top dollar for it. If that person is not there you will have to come down. IMHO I would say $22,000
