What is it?

On the drivers side of the block there is a "thing" mounted to the block next to the lift pump. It resembles a mechanical fuel pump like on a chevy ,but it has wires goingto it. Icant remember if it has any lines going to it. What is it? it's a 94 model.

It's the fuel heater. It has an internal thermostat set to go on at around 50°. It also has a screen filter, accessible from the bottom that should cleaned every so often.

Thanks for the info. Ithink I will check the screen,it may be a cause to my low RPM stumbling.
