as can be seen in my signature i FINALLY got a truck, and also are the list of mods. in the sig. enough to be able to compete in the quarter mile/ maybe drag in the future... ... ... ... ... .
What do you consider "enough" to compete? Want to break into the 12s? Being a 2wd won't help you, without racing slicks.
PM Rhondasway or HOSS. They could point you in the right direction.
BIGGEST factor, how much money do you have to play with? You can do just about anything, with enough money. It won't be cheap to be real competitive. Twin turbo setups will probably run $3k+. That's why I won't get too carried away with BOMBing.
i won't be racing any speed demons just a few of my friends(they have pickups), i just want to win. i will also be pulling farm equipment/livestock in the future, just want power.
well i'll be willing to spend a little under 6 grand in mods. maybe up to 350/850 hp/tq? are twins needed for that much? just want more than stock 190/420 rating.
What you have in your sig will work very nicely to make you competitive - especially if you are consistent. As far as racing your friends in their pickups, race them pulling a load. 6 grand will buy you plenty of power with these trucks, and you'll probably have more than 350/850. You will have a problem making the tires hook, though.
i am not far from ya. mandeville, la. anyway holla sometime (pm) me a we can talk i love to help others beat fords and chevys but it getting harder b/c these newer trucks are getting faster and faster. most people are to scared to chip there trucks anyway. but the truck you are describing is a true mini tractor truck
alright CAT i'll pm you soon, to get my mods started.
by the way i took (delivery ) of my truck today, had to drive 60 miles one way to get (worth it Oo. )
this truckis a beast with potential. Oo. also do all of the early 2nd gen nv4500hd's have a low gear hole, or is mine a (special transmission :-laf ) it has low/1/2/3/od. the guy that i bought it from
said that i only had to use the low if i wanted to pull a house.
