What is on your not-to-do list for 2009? (Ends: 01/04/09)

I am not going to dream about adding more horsepower to my truck, instead just do it.

I'm not going to sell my truck after scorching a cylinder on the dyno with a newly installed transmission, lines, cooling hoses, water pump, serpentine belt, exhaust manifold, injectors, quick turbo housing, tires, shocks, and FASS.

Well I am not let any one get to me! I will gest smile at them and walk off. That will make for a better life.

In 2009 I am not going to change jobs again, and I'm not going to let my house sit on the market for another 7 months trying to sell it!

In 2009 I am not going to ever forget on a daily basis to thank God for the many many blessings he has given me and to pray for our troops and our nation's safety every night!

Fellow Rammers, I have a list of what I'm not going to do in 2009 (or at least try not to do for the ones who know me):



1. I will not poke fun (ok, not too much fun) at them poor ole Chevy and Ford truck owners. Oo.



2. I will not get upset (like in 2008) when my wife calls tells me she filled her diesel truck full of gas AND the nice man behind her said it wouldn't hurt it to start it and move it out of the way. :{



3. I will not spend over $5,000 on upgrades and accuterments unless they claim to improve fuel mileage and performance.



4. I will not smoke people out when they get too close behind me, except for safety reasons. :-laf



5. I will not back up until it sounds expensive anymore, like I did at Flying J when the Ford owner cut me off to the diesel pump, grandaughter having a tantrum and wife telling me where to go. :{



6. I won't bag (shoot) any more of Santa's reindeer... even if they do have a nice rack.



Maybe, if I succed in 2009, I won't get charcoal in my stocking. We'll see!!

On a serious note, lets pray we don't lose another military member, fireman or policeman in 2009 and maybe take every opportunity to thank them for their service.

I will not go on vacation with out checking all the fluids, includeing the transfercase and diffs. $900. 00 dollar reciept will be on the dash to remind me.

Beautiful day out 50 or so in the shade, warmer in the sun I'll wash the truck,wax, vacuum the interior wash the dogs Kisses off the inside of the windows. Thinking about cleaning the undercarriage na its just a light film of dirt. I want to take it out for a spin, all nice and clean,you know its a guy thing, like after installing a new part even if its just a brush guard, you know how it runs, you just want to drive it. So I step in to the house And tell the wife Im going to get coffee & dog food------ops

She runs to her purse and comes back with a list.

I'll not do that again

At the top of my not to do list is not get any sleep. This has not been much of a challenge since my son has been born and I became the primary caregiver. But for 2009 I just wanted to reconfirmed my commitment for no sleep.
