I bought the Hadley's the black one's , mounted them stealth under the radiator cross member and they toot pretty good, now I want a train whistle to T into the line seperatly :D

Do a search using Grover or Hadley. You should be rewarded with hours of reading.

I have a pair of Grovers attached to the rear of the front frame crossmember. My wife hates them:D :D :D

Get creative.........

Find a horn in a truck junk yard and rig everything else yourself.

Did mine and it works and sounds great. E-mail me if you would like additional info.

Yeah ... ..... what he said!:D

I picked up my 24" Grover in a big rig junkyard. Last sole surviving (un-dented) horn in the whole lot. It was one of two horns but 1) the other one had a dent in it, 2) they were both 24"ers, and 3) I only had the money for one!

For $35 I got the horn, the bell end holder, and the brass fittings that were on the horn. I got a Oo. deal!

Can't hook it up till I get a dang electric valve for my air tank though!:{

Check out www.ricksontruck.com if you don't have a big rig boneyard near you. They have decent prices on horns, its where TDR member Bigsaint got his setup at. PM him he'll be happy to talk about his horns. He's such a great guy he'll even let you hear 'em over the phone!:-laf

HADLEY BULLY'S

by far... ..... getting rid of my Grover Stuttertone as soon as i can find a small fitting and putting my Bully's BACK on

Hadley's are sold in many truck type shops and most truck catalogs, who the heck sells these Grovers ? I've always owned Hadleys because their system lasts and lasts. And rebuild / parts availability makes it any obvious choice for me.

This from the Grover website.

Grover manufactures air horns for every U. S. Heavy Duty Trucking Manufacturer. (Ford, Freightliner, GMC, Kenworth, Mack, Peterbuilt, Volvo, and Renault in France.
I always thought that the reason the Grovers were not seen in Camping World, etc. , was that Grover Products Company was more interested in supplying truck manufacturers and left the RV & aftermarket horns to others.

I noticed that RicksonTruck Accessories shows a compressor made by Thomas Pumps in their kits—not the compressor shown by Grover. If ever needed, parts are available to rebuild Grover truck horns.

Since we are on the topic of air, I thought I would let you guys know that Kilby is now making a bracket that allows the 24-valvers to bolt on a York pump for an air compressor. I thought it was nice that they made one for the 24's and left us 12-valvers in the cold.

The York pump that Smoker mentioned will do a lot more than provide air for horns. With 8 CFM at 90 psi there probably is enough spare compressed air to air up a tire or two.

OnBoardAir

With that in mind I deleted my previous post. On Board Air is always a good idea, but to me it seems like it would be a pain to hook up.

This thread has been going for a while. It probably has the most discussion regarding Brad Kilby's work on the On Board Air setup for the 24 valve Rams.
