What's the best stack combo with tst for an 01 HO? I'm asking here because I know allot of old timer's have moved on to the 3 G's but know the answer to my question for the 2G's.

Is it the ez? Mad ecm? would a mad special, tst and timeing box be best? I am going to ditch the edge comp although I have had ZERO problems with it over the last almost 3 years. I really want to be able to control timing for heavy towing.

I want the most power and controllability don't go by my sig completely, assume a twin setup and HP VP44. Thanks again for the input.

I'm running an old VA box, doesn't even have a boost fooler in it. Picked it up off a TDR member a couple of years ago. I believe it is pretty tame as far as the timing goes, I put enough abuse with the TST comp. If you search for stacking you'll find all sorts of info, including some HO specefic info. You'll also find alot on exhaust stacks, so set your search accordingly.

P. S. you can't control the timing on the fly if that's what you're going for, I believe the edge has three settings as far as the timing goes, might give you what you're looking for, you just gotta pop the hood anytime you want to adjust it.

Some of my info may be wrong, it's been a while since I've searched on it. I can tell you that without the timing box my truck puts out alot less smoke. Poor poor stock turbo.

One of the NW BOMBers is running the MAD/ TST combo on his '02 HO. He loves it. He has gotten over the 500HP mark with this and a PDR40 and M4s.

This is the standard version MAD and he runs without the TST most of the time. This way, you get the instant trottle response no metter the box on/ off or whatever.

I tried out both a special/ Comp and just a standard Catcher. I am by far more impressed with the standard and no box as opposed to the special. If the box was off, it had no guts. Keep in mind I have an ETC truck.

Only thing I don't like about the regular MAD ecm is the timing is always there, I am not convinced that I want to be towing heavy with allot of timing. Thats why I thought the special, TST and a timing box may be the ticket. I would really like to know if the Hypertech Hyper pack could be stacked with a TST, I talked to someone who knew nothing at hyperpac and he said they don't recommend stacking anything with the hyperpac.

I'm sure they arent the only ones to say that. This tuner hasnt made it to market for diesel's yet but maybe a box guru has looked it over and can provide some info on it. The EZ is a popular stack with the TST but is it the best?

I think the standard version of the catcher is too much if you are running big injectors and a fueling box at the same time. It dumps so much fuel it almost seems like it will put the fire out. I had an 02 eth with the standard catcher, Blue Chip FMS, Mach 3's, and a B-1. If I hit the throttle hard with the FMS on 30% the smoke was INSANE and it would actually feel sluggish, now, if I rolled into it :--)
