Who maks the best twin turbo comination for reliability in the 450-500 hp range? I have read numberous times about the HX35 and HT3B combo being good, is that the best? Is there other combos that are more bulletproof? Thanks!

Robert

Depends on what you want to do. There is no one size fits all turbo combo. My preference for a towing set up would not work so well on the strip or pulling a sled, and vice versa.

Now after building and running 3 different Twin setups I would have to say a SPS 62 or Silver Bullet 62 and an I. I. S400. The top turbo is obvious, the bottom because I know what they can do to one for changes. All of this is with ME building a kit.

Yeah, I guess would help to know what I am doing with them. It will be used 50% daily driver, 50% towing 10,000+ lbs. I am not looking for max hp numbers, the most I figgure is about that 500 hp mark.

If you are gonna be towing and plan on keeping the 12mm ve then I would go with the good old hx35/ht3b. Both are good strong turbo's, you'll have great throttle response and they are the cheapest setup. I will say that if you don't mind spending some money my htb2 spools pretty good and would work good as a top, like jim said.
