Anyone know what it states on the door of 2005 Powerwagon. There are none in my area for me to check. Thanks for any information.

tire pressure

I run my coopers 55 up front and 50 in the rear. with a long bed empty. I kinda think its up to you and how it feels empty or feels towing pending the weight. the side of the tire will tell you a MaX PSI I beleive. try a setting and give it a week and adjust as needed.

Hope this helps.

If you go off load index on the tire the conversion is 55psi in the front and 65psi in the rear versus 60psi front and 70psi rear stock. I am a manager at Discount Tire Co. and I did the conversion when I put the 285s on my truck. You lose a little bit of weight capacity when you go to the 285 anyway but with the tire being bigger you don't have to run as much air. Hope this helps!

I run 60 front and 55 rear on my setup (see pic's in link) and they are wearing great with 18k miles on them. I should clarify that part of my daily commute is on the freeway above 65 mph. If my commute were below these speeds I would probably run 55 front and 50 rear.

I have run many different pressures on these tires from 42 front 30 rear to 65 front 65 rear depending on load etc. Lower pressures = better ride but maybe a little less precise handling on curves. The manufacturers will tell you to check the tire wear with a gauge. If you are wearing out more in the tire center then go with less pressure- if you are wearing out the tire edges faster then go with more pressure. That's all I know.
